Designed with love, block printed by hand. When Megan's linoleum block prints were recommended to Ellen in 2013 for a show at the gallery she managed, they realized they had printmaking, imagination, and humor in common. Each had lamented the lack of fun and place–specific t–shirts available on the rock they call home, Puget Sound's Vashon Island. Together they decided to do something about it, and Cowbelle Industries was born. Early shirts were outsourced and screen printed. But seeking hands-on, creative control of each impression, in 2014 Ellen and Megan started block printing each shirt by hand, and haven't looked back.
